A ten year old little boy, blind and autistic, raises his voice in song to God. An offering of pure worship. He sang Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord. His Christian audience was supportive and open to his offering.
The Brave New World of the 21st Century is not so welcoming. It needs to have the eyes of its cruel hearts opened! They have little patience for an imperfect child. Had modern secularists known he would be born this way they would have willingly killed him before he took his first breath. (Secular bioethics espouses abortion or infanticide for imperfect children. )
America's Got Talent would probably give him the buzzer before the end of the first line and unceremoniously escort him off the stage. Next! Lady Gaga ridicules the disabled. Would she see a bulls-eye on his back? Schoolyard bullies sure would.
The secular world has very limited patience for a blind, autistic boy singing a chorus to God: Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord. But his worship is perfect in the eyes of the Almighty. To God, this little boy's song rose to heaven like fragrant incense.
I wonder if Lady Gaga's songs do the same?
