SMILE WITH CHAPLIN

My father died when I was a 16 year old kid. I remember that I thought my heart would break in half! Dad was a skilled pianist. There are certain songs that still bring tender memories of him back to me -- even 41 years after his death.
When those songs play and memories open in my little grey cells, I realize that there are loves that time can not destroy. One song Dad played on the piano was Smile, composed by the great comedian Charlie Chaplin. Charlie Chaplin could make my father laugh.

For your listening pleasure this Saturday evening here is a link to Charlie Chaplan & Smile in a 1954 recording by Nat King Cole.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyjjD-D70ic&feature=related
